I have had a cold for about 3 weeks, its a real downer.

been an eventful few hours here although I believe the whole country is getting bashed by the weather at the moment

Here we have wind and hail showers but it's 8 degrees so not really cold.

Compared to this time last year it is balmy.

Windier yes.........................but about 15 degrees warmer.

I was going to say...

last year didn't we have people complaining their kit was packing up because of the cold?

That's why I've used industrial grade components throughout my drive system.

Now all I need is industrial grade thermals

Mind you the wind cuts through you worse then dry cold. It feels about -10 outside right now with the wind.

I just spent half an hour getting kitted up in several layers, hat, gloves etc, telescope out, flask of tea, (a few Vodka and Cokes actually) 'scope at right height and levelled, a nice seat and warm hotty bottle.......

My GOTO batteries are DEAD!!!!!!

I forgot to unplug the battery pack last night....

Back indoors and carry on building my Tamiya Williams F1 car kit.

Power pack now on my shopping list.

not so much cold, but the wind is doing its best to destroy property, at least round here, a friend contacted me to say it had collapsed one of his greenhouses!
