Hello all,

I’m new to the group but not to astronomy. I’ve been into observational astronomy for 35 yrs now. I’ve had my share of scopes ranging in size from 12” SCT as the largest, to a 6” refractor as my smallest. I will be getting into imaging using my Canon 7D. My main observing is deep sky, and I use a 2“ bino-viewer with 2" eyepieces. My 6” refractor has a custom made focuser that was made for me by B&D back in 1999. Its to bad that the main designer of that focuser is longer alive. My main scope is a Meade 10” LX200GPS. I was an optics tester back in the 80's to mid 90’s for the DeepSky Observatory 10US which is no longer around. Man I do miss the 16” SCT that the observatory had. My optics testing now is just for review write ups only.
