LAST NIGHTS EFFORTS COLOUR GALAXIES

Well still kicking my heels a bit here, waiting for Dome etc , cant really progress much more till this all comes together, but got a few galaxies last night with the ED100 at F9 a rather strange looking M94 and the narrow galaxyNGC 4565, Finished off with a quick M13 which was only 4 subs at 25 secs,

I like all three Rog, but I especially like the NGC 4565 I think its a superb edge on spiral with that dark lane. Brilliant mate.

I agree - all 3 are excellent, but NGC4565 is the pick of the bunch for me - lovely texture in those outer arms

There's a nice NGC4565 in the S@N Mag. for March 2007. It's in their article about the top ten hidden galaxies (as in not in the Messier list). The image is from the Canada-France telescope and apart from being too big (full page) and too detailed, it's nearly as good as Rog's effort.
