Merlin66
They look identical to to ones I found in BRICO.They are fantastic!!I've covered the whole floor with them ( you can cut the edges with a pair of kitchen sissors) No they don't need to be fixed. They lie very flat.Highly recommended.

Merlin66
As I'm only renting over here, I can't put down a pier etc etc.I'm using the NEQ6 at the moment on the tripod in the observatory.I found that these mats actual work as vibration suppression pads as well!!It took a couple of days for the tripod to settle, but after that it's been great. Merlin66
Gina,I think the price is for 112 sq ft - that's enough to cover a 10' x 11' observatory floor.Mine is only 8' x 6' I think it was only 12 mats in total.

George
Think I paid around 20 quid for 4 packs when Netto had them on offer, they were sold as excersise matting.

laser_jock99
For flooring I'm thinking of using some old, dark blue carpet tiles we have lying around at work. I think they came off one of our exhibition stands but never got re-used. At least they'll be free!
Carbon Brush
Looks like the stuff I put down in my 'shed'.Easy to lay.Excellent for quietneing the late night footsteps.Excellent for catching eyepieces, etc.If you leave something moderately heavy (tripod) in one place for a long time, it leaves a long term, or permanent dent. Some of my stored kit is hung off the walls now.Second problem. I laid the floor in the cold and it was a good fit. A nice hot June day and it grows bigger than the shed, forcing up in places. I will have to trim a few millimetres off.But at the end of the day, a worthwhile addition to the shed.
Macavity
I bought a few (branded) anti-fatigue tiles to test on the "warm room" end of my obsy. The are indeed a fine thing. It seems good to allow for a little free movement around the edges - Indeed, under STRONG sunshine they do expand a bit. Clearly not a nighttime (most daytimes? LOL) problem though... Gina
I've got a couple of carpet off-cuts I can use, if they're big enough.
Steep
If you have an Aldi nearby they may still have some packs of grey in stock, failing that Maplins normally carry them. Or as said above, Tesco as long as you don't mind pink/blue, all of these have/had packs of six sheets for between £7-£
