Finaly got my first telescope!!

Aww, you beat me to it! I've been playing with mine all afternoon, I love it.

I took a load of pics while unboxing, I'll write up a post later.

Outstanding, now I just need some clear night sky. I think AstroPanel is showing some clear sky at 3am Monday. I have a feeling my sea anchor will Speak To Me if I go for that...

My wife called me a sad 8 year old cos I was hanging around the front door all morning.

thanks mate. i carnt wait. even just setting up the latitude and longitude is getting me exsited!!!!

Just remember it's month / day / year and try and get the tripod as rigid and level as possible.

You'll be amazed at skyalign.

I still can't work out how it "knows" just from three bright objects ??

yep !

Just try and choose three well spaced apart.

I also find that auto two star works well if you've good seeing and definately know the stars you're pointing at.

(that was easy when Orion was up earlier in the year, now it's a bit more challenging for me !)
