  1. Disgusting. Why so much light. ? very inconsiderate indeed. Almost makes you want to plant laylandii's.
  2. It my be worth a try complaining to the council and tell them they are keeping you awake at night.
  3. Or, it could belong to a boy racer astronomer, you know, the ones that used to stick RS turbo stickers on there 1100 cc escorts 😂😂😂
  4. The Only thing i can think of, if its genuine, is maybe it was from Orion USA and a batch made for the US market perhaps ? Might be worth dropping them a message on CN and see if they know anything. John
  5. I'm still to try it. Does sound like it could rescue a few subs though 👍
  6. I've just come across this you tube video, Could be interesting, just in the Beta stage at the moment
  7. Or the other option would be to purchase the AZ-GTI mount and you can have the best of both worlds. Upload the EQ software for it, and get the EQ Wedge. I have the star adventurer and the AZ-GTI and i am only using the GTI now, because i can connect it to my Laptop and run it via an EQDIR cable. John
  8. Looking forward to your Testing and report Vlav. I was thinking of trying my Skywatcher 0.85 FF/FR when i get the time. John
  9. What you need to make sure when using vintage lenses (i have a couple of M42 screw) you will need to make sure you get a shallow adaptor, and not the standard canon T Ring or you will not achieve focus John
  10. I to have the 8" Altair RC CF version, and that focuser does look suspiciously the same, apart from the logo. I ended up replacing my focuser. It would say it is a rebranded GSO/Altair/IOptron/TS version.
  11. Slightly different, but i just replaced my front digitizer screen on my phone, and had the same issue, wouldn't power up, and thought i had scraped my phone !!, but, i unplugged and re-seated all the connections and then powered up fine. Possibly, as you say, worth trying the connections again 👍 John
  12. There you go Spacecake, I've just liked your comment so it should go up another one 😂
  13. Hi Brad, Firstly, welcome to SGL. I cant be sure, but are you loosing your wifi connection at all ? I think i read somewhere, someone was having problems when he lost his connection. I'm sure someone else will be along who will have had this issue and give you some pointers. John
  14. Hi All, Just come across this interesting youtube video And i have Just visited the TS website and it does most definitely seem like a re branded TS 61EDPH. But as stated in the video Is it worth the extra £300 for an improved dovetail and quick release Tube rings ?. Thoughts ? John
  15. Yes Mate, you defiantly have good data, just like you said, you need to work on your calibration, especially darks with a 183 sensor, they are renowned for there starburst amp glow. And with practice, your processing will definitely get better, John
  16. Hi Messy, As Alacant said, you definitely need calibration frames to get any great improvement. I have stretched each individual channel, and your dust motes are on the luminance channel. If your imaging train is still set up the same, i suggest you take flats for each channel, and you definitely need darks to get rid of the amp glow. This is the best i could do.
  17. Hi messy, I've downloaded the individual files and I will see what I can tweak out of them. It will be tomorrow thought as I have to be up at 4.30am for work. John
  18. In Curves, make sure you have the preview on, then tweak the individual rgb channels until you get the right colour balance until you are happy, before applying it to the image. Also, run SCNR before tweaking the curves to remove the green colour cast John
  19. After you made it none linear, did you try increasing saturation in curves ? as Olly said, there is a hint of color there. John
  20. Hi Olly, The ASI533 is a OSC. No mono version available, but yes, what filters was the OP using ? John
