  1. I’ve never used a delite. Looks a serious eyepiece. An 18mm one is interesting, what will you be using it in and for? Dale.
  2. That looks the business. Makes my frac look like a kids toy.
  3. Jupiter and Saturn do that to me every time. Each time a new grin.

    All of it? Phew welcome.
  5. They are nice maybe I should get a connection for my phone then. Who needs an astrophotographers 💰💰💰💰💰 rig after all 😁
  6. It’s more a point of having some idea of the limits from scope/eyepieces from my point of view. Maybe for someone who has decades of experience this is not necessary, however due to my long shifts - a tired eyes observation is unfortunately the best I can fit in. Having the degree of faintness of objects I’m looking for would help me find things as I use a manual Az/alt setup with no Automatic tracking etc. It’s all about achieving my goal with my equipment if that makes any sense.
  7. Maybe less coffee on view sessions will help me slow down 👁👁 Dale.
  8. Single shots from a smartphone, pretty good I think. What scope/mag? I know your using bst’s though, new toys 😎 I’ve been “planeteering“ (is that a real word) a fair bit lately and it does bring on a grin when you see stripes. Tried mars with those eyepieces gets, it’s so small. Dale.
  9. Hi Frankie, Welcome. I’ve only been here since April and like you kept stalking/reading things on here. I felt guilty in the end using it Without being a member so I finally joined. I only do the visual stuff and have to admit when I read some of the astrophotographers post’s I’m totally lost. Binoculars, cameras and telescopes as individual items I understand but not when they are used together 🤔 Dale.
  10. John visual simulator, yes from my point of view and possibly the op’s. In my case it’s so my eagerness doesn’t sweep straight past things. (I need to look harder). Dale.
  11. That looks very nice. I got a baader prism a couple a few weeks back, only used it twice because of weather but really really like it. Is yours mirror or prism?
  12. Very happy to come home from a 12 hour shift to find my “final” eyepiece for my set waiting for me.
  13. “Wait until you see the prism diagonal”
  14. Someone must have bought a complete rig for astrophography.
  15. Temptation is bad... use the force... resist. I think you get one of a type, you like them and you want more of the same. 😁
  16. Yeah right. I said that and today I’ve ordered a pan 27. We should maybe be at the end of the search?
  17. No worries there then. 10-15 days of clouds and clear sky when it arrives 👍
  18. That would make a good set. Mags of:- 30, 41, 62, 93 & 150. The 15mm would be a bit close to the ones either side. Also the Barlow could be used on the 8 if needed. I think my mags work out 30, 55, 89, 120 & 150 so similar spread. After 150x I see alien life forms in my eye 👁
  19. That box is filling up quick. You said you would only get 5 eyepieces in there. It’s looking more like 8. That would be plenty.
  20. It’s the counting that needs consideration. The less spaces you have in your case.. the less money you have. I think that’s what a “balance” is 💰
