  1. You shouldn’t be thinking of re-sale to be honest. Those are all fine telescopes and keepers!
  2. It’s well within its limits with the 102 and more forgiving with lumps of glass in the diagonal. Don’t need to counter balance with that telescope either.
  3. So there you have it, you are down to a choice of the 3 scopes you mentioned... we are all the same as you. You can’t really make the wrong choice unless........,,
  4. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the glass is pretty good too 😂
  5. Yep same I reckon. Nice focuser and dew shield slides/floats nicely. You wouldn’t feel you’d missed out.
  6. The planets, my bedtime viewing. So relaxing and opens the mind. He makes even me understand things 😆
  7. There is a niche however, I ended up with quite a nice mount I wouldn’t have bought and I won’t be looking for another 😎
  8. I use a losmandy AZ8 with my F7 and love it. It’s solid, we’ll machined and would take the F11. It’s quite expensive and there’s not much I could find between this an the SW stuff.
  9. 1/2 hour from Motril. Mountains around so not sure what that would do to air streams. Also, it cools very fast as sun goes down so not sure how telescopes would adjust.
  10. Netting on windows, leave geckos in the house as they eat a fair few and ceiling fans. Mozzies like fresh meat of holiday visitors. When we had visitors they were an all you can eat banquet.
  11. I have a farm house in Granada province 😎 nice to have a 7 year warning tip off 👍
  12. I wonder if the other 5% of the time is spent getting up after you’ve lost balance 🤣
  13. That’s a strange sound for people to hear out in the garden in the dark. There’s some really odd things popping up in this thread. Keep em coming as some new ideas are forming.
  14. Quite a lot of weird and wonderful ideas are coming out of the woodwork here. It’s funny how people come up with ways that work for them. Ingenious.
  15. I’ve tried the rested brow but when standing it’s not great. It’s amazing how wobbly you can make yourself this way in the dark. Really must take a chair out. Trouble is I normally start on tip toe trying to get the planets as they come over the hedge.
  16. I feel like this thread has been slightly hijacked so I’ve continued it here
  17. How do you prefer to view with your ethos? Some like the cups up with eye nested, some roll them down and hover. I recently bought an eyeguard extender for my pan 27 and loved it. I’ve now done the same with some ethos and find it very comfortable for eye placement with the cup rolled down. It is firmer than the soft rubber and works well for me, it’s sort of like using a wider Delos.
  18. Im not quite sure what you mean. How I have it now My eye is the same distance from lens as it is with the standard ethos eye cup up. The only real difference is it’s firmer. It’s just a comfort thing.
  19. I dream of mags of 199x 😂 what I mean is, I put eyepiece extenders on the ethos and fold the cups down on the eyepiece extenders. I’m finding this very comfortable viewing as I don’t have much luck hovering and get on better with a firmer eye cup. It really does make them feel like using a wider Delos to me.
  20. I like my 8mm. Gives me 90x. I put an eyepiece extender on mine. With the cup folded down it’s like using a 100degree Delos 😉
  21. Which focal length is it? Too much mystery.
  22. You have tv diagonal, I think that has. My baader doesn’t, it’s a straight edge all the way to the glass. Best I “rough it” for now with the dual barrel just in case.
  23. It must be close to the prism. With a filter on the skirt I would imagine my Zeiss prism wouldn’t be very happy. 😡
  24. Would the 13, 8 & 6 still fit in a diagonal with the baader skirts fitted? I have the 2” click lock and this would finish off the eyepieces really well.
