  1. Why not just use an EQMOD cable and ditch the handset altogether, that’s what I do with ekos...? 👍 Edit: or did you mean from the USB port on the mount...?
  2. I think they are the same on older and newer versions of the mount, BUT the new version 5 handset has a USB port now too....so maybe that’s what you read about.... 😀
  3. The only changes I know of from the EQ6 to the EQ6-R are the handset is now an rj45 type connector, and the power supply is a 2 pin screw on aviation connector... HTH 👍
  4. Yes, but Tim at dew control could put that connector on if you require.... 👍
  5. My vote goes to www.astroshop.eu, They are based in Germany, I don’t shop anywhere else, two day delivery via UPS for £5...can’t beat that, and until this damn virus all there prices are cheaper than UK stockists....but if you do want a UK stockist then the widescreen centre is my choice... 👍
  6. This is the Pegasus one as you see almost twice the price...but yes it does have correct connector on, the one I linked to above the guy will fit one of those connectors if you ask him....he is a great guy and his name is Tim, drop him an email...or just have it as it comes and use the cable that comes with the UPB....as that has cigar plug on anyway... https://www.astroshop.eu/power-supplies/pegasusastro-power-supply-12v-10a-eu-xt60-for-upb-v2-/p,62818
  7. Make sure it’s a good supply, and don’t get the Pegasus one it’s much too expensive, there are much much cheaper ones out there...like this one... https://www.dewcontrol.com/Mains_Power_Supply_Unit_-_12V_10A/p3099125_19688635.aspx
  8. By adding the Pegasus UPB into the auxillary list, that is adding the driver.... 👍
  9. Yes, I have the UPB V2 working with ekos... All you do is choose the Pegasus UPB INdI driver in the auxillary menu in the profile and set it up in INdI control panel, there is a tab for each section of the UPB.., no need to even open any of the windows software first.... 👍
  10. Why do you have to change direction on UPB...? Are the “in”and “out” the wrong way round as that was supposed to be fixed....?
  11. Yes, I think you would be much better with a motorised Crayford focuser on the back of your SCT, as has been said, with the mirror shift it will never work, I tried it a few years back, and someone gave me this advice, I took it and never looked back..... 👍😀
  12. Lol, I doubt that very much.... 😉 but still good all the same....
  13. Yes, that will cause this issue, of camera rotated after calibration... 😮
  14. I’m not missing the point at all, I know it’s not the drivers fault, but the problems are company wide... so take a chill pill..... 🤪🤪
  15. I think that during current circumstances you need to be a tad more patient, after all, these delivery drivers are keeping many of us from going stir crazy, being stuck inside, at least we can buy new toys to play with.... 👍😀 Fo me they are bringing DIY supplies ☹️
  16. yes exactly, hence asking whether people actually are honest about what is in the package....as if it’s get lost, then it does not matter what is in it... 😉 and your can still claim.... assuming you had it insured....if you get my drift.... In saying that I had a scope go missing, with Hermes once, and got a full refund from Hermes, after one month, then the scope turned up, and got to the intended recipient, and Hermes said, “no problem keep the refund as a goodwill gesture” well you can’t to better than that, especially when telescopes were on there prohibited list..... So for smaller less valuable items I use Hermes collection every time.. and UPS for bigger more valuable....
  17. Actually that is a good point, I have had telescopes and certain accessories refused by DPD and other couriers, but how many people actually state exactly what is in the package, as telescope equipment is one of the things on many couriers prohibited list...they will sometimes ship it, but it won’t be insured... 🤔
  18. well here is another survey from the money saving expert, so slightly different, but he’s DPD at the top..but some of the others are in completly different places to the survey you posted....so which is correct...it’s all subjective... 👍 The results of the MoneySavingExpert poll can be found in the table below: Major Delivery Companies ‘Great’ Score DPD 63% Collect + 61% DPD Local 56% Royal Mail 55% Amazon Logistics 52% UPS 42% Parcelforce 41% Fed Ex 41% DHL 41% UK Mail 29% Hermes 29% TNT 23% Yodel 21%
  19. Well I don’t believe that for a minute as Hermes are not on there...... 🤔 😀
  20. Like I said, ask enough people and someone will have had a bad experience with every courier, and yours was with UPS, mine was with Parcel Force.. 👍
  21. I use UPS all the time, as they are the best courier service out there....IMHO, I have never had an issue with them, and sent items up to £1500 in value, but I do always insure them, I have also had many items delivered from Germany to, from astroshop.eu and Teleskop Express and again never an issue...so to be honest this will probably be down to the current issues... and if you do not receive, then I am sure the supplier will refund or send again... 👍😀 At the end of the day there will be someone out there that has had a bad experience with every courier...regardless of current conditions if you ask enough people.. 😉
  22. Can’t answer your question, but if you are looking for an app, I use this, it does cost £3.99 but it’s the best I have found anywhere... especially the live cloud cover map... https://darksky.net/app
  23. Superb....fits perfectly .... very happy...👍👍😀
  24. Yes, I am well impressed and appreciative for the work he put in, and looking forward to receiving and trying it out.... 😀
