Well, that was brilliant, caught it from beginning to end, that must be a first for me, lol. Just looked at the data, 195gb to process, lol.

It could be a meteor or fireball, the oirionids peak was yesterday 21st October and known for their fireballs. I've tweaked the image and zoomed in. It appears to be some break up and flaring suggesting a fireball but you'd have seen it with your eye's too so maybe not.

Yeah, marked in my diary, hoping we get some clear weather. I want to catch it in Cak.

Polemaster adapter question.
Nigella Bryant replied to Nigella Bryant's topic in Discussions - Mounts
Thanks Graeme, I did a polar alignment with the polemaster in the second pic position and seems to give a good alignment. I may try the other way just to see. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to polar align with the polemaster. -
I was thinking of getting a power tank or something that would run my eq8, camera's, etc for just those occasions this winter, lol. Seriously, suggestions would be welcome just in case.

Hi, I'm hoping someone might know the answer to which way the adapter is attached to the Eq8 mount?. There's no instructions that I can find. Thanks 🙏

Second attempt at Jupiter 17th September
Nigella Bryant replied to Nigella Bryant's topic in Imaging - Planetary
It's a tough learning curve. I still need to tweak captures and processing. It's very frustrating. -
Hi all, here's my second attempt at Jupiter this time in the evening of the 17th September same equipment. Seeing wasn't as good.

ZWO ASI224 First Light and Io Transit
Nigella Bryant replied to Astro_Dad's topic in Getting Started With Imaging
Cool, I had my first light with Jupiter on the 17th September. I was blown away with the C11 and the Zwo Asi 224mc. It's an amazing camera. -
what does a 2.5 barlow add to the imaging backfocus
Nigella Bryant replied to iwols's topic in Imaging - Planetary
I've no idea what the actual back focus would be but I've just started using a 2.5x powermate with a Zwo Asi 224mc camera and a C11. No issues with focus or floppiness with the imaging train.- 1 reply
