  1. So I need to make a couple more to offer somebody a bargain....
  2. Oh and I should mention if your laptop is one of the big name brands full of bloatware then you might do well to wipe the drive and do a minimal Win install. Last thing you need is a popup telling you to buy more stuff from the manufacturer....always at exactly the wrong time.
  3. Mine is i5, 8Gb RAM, 500Gb SSD, 2xUSB3 + 2xUSB2 running win 10. Though I've not had much time to use it (clouds!) it seems to deal with control and capture quite well. I do have a much more powerful PC at my desk that will hopefully be used for processing....one day.
  4. I wonder if they could adapt it to burn some clouds off for me....beginning to lose heart!
  5. I think this was the best thing I "late night" bought. The app is much better than the handset and less wires. My experience so far has been simple and easy though saying that might have firmly planted my foot in my mouth.
  6. Nice that. So my next project will be an observatory! Thanks for sharing.
  7. I am in the same position of venturing my inexperienced foot forward in that direction. If it were not for the constant clouds I would even gain some experience! Good luck.
  8. Well after many cloudy nights there is some clear sky. Not ideal because it is blowing a gale so I just set up looking out of my kitchen door! So I had a brief look whilst setting up for later.....Saturn....with rings. Oh lordy lordy! Considering this 200PDS is not ideal, Saturn was only just above the house opposite, etc... I am still amazed. I am only telling you lot because I think they will bar me from the pub if I bore them anymore.
  9. Well somewhere down the line I fancy giving imaging a go. I will now search for how to adapt it! Thanks.
  10. It is straight thru and awkward. Would be ideal if I could unscrew the straight thru EP, (it does unscrew) and put a RACI in there. I've looked but don't think any I have seen are suitable, are there any? I am sure I saw a post where somebody had DIY'd one but cannot find it now....maybe I just toss it, can't use as is! Thanks.
  11. I think it would depend on your location/seeing. I use Stellarium and pick out targets with a progressive magnitude. Once I know 8 (or whatever) is the most for that night I quickly compile a list of the doable targets.
