  1. Downloaded that and put it somewhere - Pointed PI to it and the same error message.........
  2. Ahh, it looks like I don't have the relevant program or something..... your top line is populated very differently to mine...... I checked the arguments on the PI forum and it should give me a 0.5s clip..... but I guess it won't work with whatever that top line means
  3. But how did you actually create the video? ..... I can't do that bit! I've got the files in 'blink' then the video tab doesn't do anything but produce an error message when I try to run. I've got both Terakado (mag 17.8) and Conrada (mag 15.7) in the same image.
  4. Thanks William. Cheers Gav. I'll take a look - Thanks. I've never used PIPP - Will it auto stretch the fits files too? Thanks!
  5. There is a video tab, but I can't get it to work........ what a surprise!!!
  6. I saw the other night that I have an asteroid in a few of my exposures and I'd like to make them into a gif. I used to use Maxim for this, it was really easy, but it is no longer on my new computer. I am looking at Pixinsight as the blink function looks perfect for the animated gif I want to do and there's a video function on the tabs. Guess what ............ In typical PI style it is unfathomable and there's no information I can find online that tells me actually what to press. to get it going. Silly me would have thought that 'run' was the correct button but it would seem not!! Can anyone help or suggest something easy to use?
  7. Good points made about trying to get an imaging circle that will cover your full frame camera. I think I'd be going to a very friendly retailer and telling them exactly what you want and making it clear that you will be returning the scope if it doesn't entirely cover your full frame sensor. Don't let anyone say that it's OK if the edges aren't great, its only a small amount and you can crop it out...... No you want to cover the whole frame and that's that. The Tak FSQ106 is the obvious answer when knowing the imaging circle needed - The rest I think will be a little suck it and see (hence the friendly retailer!) Aren't there some WO scopes claiming that their imaging circle is sufficient to cover a full frame sensor?
  8. Do you have a budget in mind? What imaging will you use it for..... Narrowband predominantly or LRGB as well? And what camera will you be using? The sensor size could affect the imaging circle of the scope......
  9. I bought a set of 3nm Chroma narrowband filters..... I am very happy with them 👍🏻
  10. Love the lighter touch colours you have here Carole. A resounding success I'd say 👍🏻👍🏻
  11. No problem for my EQ8 to do an auto meridian flip 👍🏻

    Hello again

Great to see you back John ???? I'm glad that you are in a position to return and I look forward to seeing you around ??
  13. Glad that you got it all working well Martin ??????
  14. Hi Miguel and welcome to SGL...... Oooooo, Valladolid is on my list of places to visit
  15. Lovely image and superb processing ??????
  16. I do get some really bad dew out here at certain times of the year. I never found that the ODK dewed up and I just ran with the fans.......
  17. That would be the thing I would try...... get the power from a proper clean power supply for the Mesu and see if that helps.
  18. I found that my Eagle was very power specific...... anything under 13.8v and all sorts of things started happening.
  19. Are you powering the mount from the Eagle power ports Tom? If so I would try removing this as a potential issue and power the Mesu through a power pack.
  20. Not very stable..... that's why I asked as I'm thinking its more unlikely to be a mount problem.
  21. I wonder if it's a USB issue with the Eagle?
