  1. Mosaic is not in my mind at all to do, i will not do it or go for it, so he only option is wider scope. I saw RedCat or similar scopes, i don't want that much 250mm, i can use my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.4x and can be at 250mm, but i prefer a scope, last results i made by Nov-Dec last year made me to change my plan entirely cause of FOV, in fact 300mm is the sweet focal length i want, so with my ST80 and 0.8x as test i've got 320mm and i was blown away with FOV, so something like Esprit 80mm and reducer will do, but those are expensive, i am trying to make the second scope below $1000 if possible, and if i buy reducer that will add to the price also. Bottom line is, the options i gave i can all use at 275mm-400mm, Redcat is a fixed Petzval 250mm that i don't want, i prefer to be more flexible with many FL using flatteners and reducers, i ordered a new model of TS 90mm F/6 triplet which will be available after March since they changed the date from end of Jan this year, or even longer than March, it is 540mm scope, i am planning to buy APS-C color camera and buying 0.65x reducer so it can give me almost 300mm FOV, a second scope next to it as dual i can't buy exactly the same again, i already have 3 mono cameras all with 4/3", have to use them at least one of them, i already have 0.8x, but i don't mind buying their 0.7x to go much wider than 360mm or even wider than 300mm very slightly, but not 200mm-260mm.
  2. I want focal length in this range only = 280mm - 320mm, i might go wider to 260mm maybe, but not longer than 320mm
  3. Unfortunately, there is no one yet, it is a new product, with FPL-55, and the second one is almost new one just been out almost 1 year or so and not so so many reviews but it is not bad, not talking about the last one.
  4. So, for example, will you choose this one https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p12929_TS-Optics-CF-APO-70-mm-f-6-FPL55-Triplet-with-Certificate.html Or this one https://www.firstlightoptics.com/askar-telescopes/askar-fra400-f5-6-quintuplet-apo-astrograph.html Over this one? https://www.firstlightoptics.com/takahashi-fs-60-series-refractor-telescopes/takahashi-fs-60cb-f5-9-doublet-fluorite-apo-refractor.html Waiting your answer
  5. It is ok, i want for imaging, don't mind for visual, so i can say both, but if i must choose then it is imaging all the way, thanks anyway
  6. Hi, I want to know when buying a refractor, which is more important to have: 1. A triplet but with ED optics 2. A doublet but with Fluorite or FPL-53 optics So if can't afford both or the type of scope i want can't be in both of above and only one of above, what will be the choice? All scopes are well made and nice quality manufactured so no one will come to say that this build quality is better than the other one, so assume all are with excellent build quality.
  7. Very nice, i think i have to learn more about that APP's LP removal option, it looks like it will help in many results.
  8. You have nice expensive mount, scope and camera and now filters are stopping you? Very funny. I wish to have a high quality/end mount and also high end scope and camera, i can try to do a lot, but my sky isn't agree.
  9. Nice comparison, pity i live under worse Bortle, i think 8 or 9, now it looks like 6 or 7 because most LED lights aren't on, but they installed new LED lights around in my area, will see once they are done how that will be for our sky.
  10. Dual scopes is my plan from last year, or even from 2019 at the end, so this year i am very close to make it true, i do have scopes, i can try two scopes combination, but the problem is that i need either a second mount or much stronger mount, i don't know if my mount can handle nearly 20kg of my setup while it is rated for 18KG max.
  11. I can imagine, difficult situation, i will just ignore it, i will only contact seller sooner or later or if they ask for feedback, then i will send those images, if they really care they will say something even if do nothing, or they will just ignore and pass, and i have to pass also and keep going and enjoy.
  12. Yes, it did, and i am happy, just want to know if i should listen to people who worry too much and asking to complain or file a case because of the outer box shape.
  13. Yeah, it doesn't bother me really, i care about what is inside, not about what is outside, imagine if you get a perfect shape condition boxes and even from gold and iron, but the items inside are lost or broken or damage, will you accept that although the boxes are shining and no scratches?
  14. That is fair enough, it is just when you are in a situation you don't know the final condition, i mean the box sounds it had that impact or squeeze somewhere, and it is not a sign of dropping really, it is a sign of something squeezing, and that is happened with the delivery car truck, they put all boxes against each other, so bigger boxes and heavy are squeezing the small ones, now the delivery company here won't listen or do anything about it, from the sender and also forwarding company it is no sign of that, i have one picture only from the forward company and it sounds they received in good shape, but i could be wrong, they only showed one side anyway. The bottom line i want to point about is, if you get whatever package with so so boxes conditions but the products inside is perfect and safe and no damage or defect originally, would you care to file a case or contact all companies to show them the boxes conditions just in case or just forget about it and moving on?
  15. No, the product is safe and excellent, no damage at all, in fact it didn't receive that impact at all, it was impact from an empty side inside the box, so does that matter and i just carry on? some said maybe it had bad impact even if the product is safe, so maybe the motor has a damage internally even without any sign outside, if you were in my place, what will you do?
  16. Hi all, Finally i got my first ever focusing motor or autofocuser, i really can't wait to use it and see what it can do for me if i know how to operate it properly and do all settings or setup of it. The package arrived and delivered to me, but it sounds it had kind of accident or smash or squeeze from one side, i shared the image and people told me that it is not acceptable, and some said i have to file it, and few will say to ignore it as it happens often, i don't know who is the responsible here, but i believe strongly that it is the local delivery shipping/delivery company, the sender which is the store i ordered from and domestic US shipping and forward company in US all won't do this, i ordered from them several times and it never happen like this, so the only one i blame is the delivery company, and if that is the case then i don't think i will get any solution, companies here aren't really good as customer services, so i think i can't solve this issue with them here if that is true. What are you people doing when something like that happens? Should i worry much about it even if the product inside is safe? Now back to the motor itself, is there any tutorials about how to install it to the focuser and then how to do settings to make it work flawlessly?
  17. And yet, i have to wait and see, sounds the telescope i ordered isn't in a hand of any yet, it is mentioned that it will be available by end of Jan next year, and sounds no one around got a hand on it for reviews, or maybe there is but couldn't find that review, so i just have to wait and see. Some gave me the Abbe numbers of quality that those optics are giving, so between FPL53 and FPL55 it is very very minimal difference, it is like there is no different, FPL53 is about 94.93 and FPL55 is 94.66, it is very neglectable then.
  18. I really hope so that because even with FPL-53 scopes even being a triplet people keep looking for issues to analyze to death until it is 10000000% perfect, so i don't know if people care about the results or stars or performance or FPL55 vs. FPL53 or what exactly, but sounds i have to stop thinking about that and i just do imaging, i am not good at DSO so i won't just try to think that i have a high end scope although i look for one actually.
  19. Reading this i feel like a foolish person to go with FPL-55, i should choose FPL-53 then, in this case then i have to choose my second scope to pair with my FPL-55 to be FPL-53, so both will do the job and i won't have issues using both together.
  20. Hi Emil, Sorry i didn't see your post earlier, but it is ok to bring this topic back to life, i appreciate it and happy with it, Yes, i am still using my QHY163M with this filter wheel model, but i only connect it with USB cable to laptop, not with 4-pin cable as i failed to make it before, so i decided i will stay with on solution, and Robin sent me another cable for free although it shouldn't be just to test, but i really didn't try that yet and maybe not at all, i bought a power box device so i connect almost all to that box, including the cable from QHY filter wheel, and i think i will be happy with that, it always go to the correct filter and no issues, only issue once because i did tighten the screws internal too much which prevent from rotating smoothly. I will try again for 4-pin cable, but i feel like it will give me headache more, and i don't want to depend on half solutions while i am imaging, so the safe thing for me is to connect to USB port separately rather than from camera, ZWO is different story.
  21. Easy, go bigger for anything not just the lens, you will know that you will be in safe side always, i didn't process my image yet to see if i can see much bad vignetting, but i don't have Samyang 135mm lens actually.
  22. That is one main reason i ask, because it sounds there is a filter set that has a gap between two bands maybe, and another filter set that has less extended into blue/UV bands.
  23. Not silly question, but i didn't or couldn't understand it, hope others can and answer it.
  24. That is exactly why i asked, for narrowbanding i already completed the set of NB with Astrodon/Chroma Ha/OIII/SII, so now only left LRGB, and i can see that all LRGB brands or makers are doing great these days really, so i don't want to pay more and not have that difference in cost performance really, my scopes are getting better by the time so that will definitely hide the difference really.
