  1. Tried to find m51 tonight using my Celestine 5se, used the go-to but no luck. Everything else was found easy Jupiter, Polaris etc so I'm guessing there's too much light pollution to see it with a 5" scope??

I really struggled with most deep sky objects last night (and couldn't spot m51 at all) - lots of haze, high cloud and scattered moonlight in addition to the general light pollution. Then it clouded over :).

I'm getting the SW 300pds will that make a huge difference or will I still struggle because of LP?
