  6. Thank you @FenlandPaul I have updated the panorama. It was suffering from 'initial overprocessing syndrome'. The clouds have more detail now. My excuse was the 3 nights in a row of very little sleep 🤣 cheers, Paul.

  12. 'people might think it's a bit odd really...' 😂 Perfectly normal behaviour! Like others, 'Serpentine' really stands out! Great to see on a bigger screen and resolution. Thank you for sharing the vlog along with the images. Cheers, Paul.
  13. The R8 is very compact and light. Seems robust enough as well. I've a tripod lens collar for the EOS - R lens adapter that works well for balance. Hoping the R8 helps with detail in ambient foregrounds. Cheers, Paul.
  14. ...second nightscape outing for Canon R8, Sigma 24mm f1.4 ART combo last night. 5 panel mosaic. Separate foreground and sky exposure sets. SIngle tripod position on Nodal Ninja panorama mount. 15. ...the combo of long exposure and light painted foregrounds. Almost oddly 'clean'. Usual Sequator stack with freeze foreground for the sky.
  16. Unheard of events yesterday. New camera arrived along with some clear sky to try it out. Canon R8, is the R6 MkII without the frills that are unused in nightscape photography. Somewhat less expensive!! Yes, another barn. This one near Muker, Swaledale. Foreground 2 x 180s ambient stacked, ~4 light painted, Sky ~10 x 8s stacked. Canon R8 and SIgma 24mm. LR, Sequator and PS. Cloud interupted play. Powered by hot chocolate. Cheers, Paul
