SGL 2023 Challenge 5 - Noctilucent Cloud

Delicate white Noctilucent Clouds over Black Nab and the wreck of the trawler Admiral von Tromp, Saltwick Bay, N. Yorkshire. About 23.10 on 5th July. Canon R8, Sigma 24mm. ISO800, f5.6, 1s. LR and PS. Played hide and seek with the clouds. A very tidal location. Fantastic couple of hours!! Cheers, Paul. -

16th June, around 01.00. Canon R8, Sigma 105 for panorama. Canon 6D MkII, Sigma 24mm and 50mm for time lapses. Processed with Lightroom, MSICE, Photoshop, VSDC video editor, Pictures2Exe (P2E). ...a couple of composites to end the season. Foreground lighting is very dim and for full duration of exposures. Mill ruins - foreground 4 x 180s, iso1600, f4 and 2 darks. Sky 8 x 120s tracked and stacked. Rusty crater - foreground 4 x 120s, iso1600, f4 and 2 darks. Sky 8 x 8s, f2.5, iso2500. Sky position is lower than real life. Canon 6D MkII and R8 with Sigma 24mm f1.4. LR, Sequator and PS. Cheers, Paul.

...second nightscape outing for Canon R8, Sigma 24mm f1.4 ART combo last night. 5 panel mosaic. Separate foreground and sky exposure sets. SIngle tripod position on Nodal Ninja panorama mount. Sky 5 x 8 x 8s, f2.5, iso3200 - ground 5 x 2 x 120s, f2.8, iso1600. LR, Sequator, MSICE, PS. Needs a click. Beautiful night, chilly at -4C. Chocolate brownie powered. Cheers, Paul.

Unheard of events yesterday. New camera arrived along with some clear sky to try it out. Canon R8, is the R6 MkII without the frills that are unused in nightscape photography. Somewhat less expensive!! Yes, another barn. This one near Muker, Swaledale. Foreground 2 x 180s ambient stacked, ~4 light painted, Sky ~10 x 8s stacked. Canon R8 and SIgma 24mm. LR, Sequator and PS. Cloud interupted play. Powered by hot chocolate. Cheers, Paul

Got very lucky with gaps in the cloud last night. A stunning display! Single image looking towards Suilven and short time lapse of overhead coronal display! Canon 6D MkII and Samyang 14mm. 105 x 80 degrees FOV...LR, PS and VSDC video editor. An awesome night, Paul. Added image over cottage. New longer time lapse. Project 4.mp4

...Orion and Sirius. May need subdued lighting. Tried to use ambient lighting to bring out the snow. Sky and foreground separate stacks of 4 images. 10s and 30s. Canon 6D MkII, Sigma 24mm. Single lit interior. LR, Sequator and PS. Already on version 4! Click as usual for better viewing. Paul
