      I hope we are lucky in the morning, David! Look forward to seeing how you get on with the reducer. If it is really clear (I would settle for any clear) I hope to sneak some white light in too if seeing is better than it was today!

      It's not looking good now, I was luckier than I realised this morning. Lucky I can do solar brekkie as I seem to be having reasonable luck mid-week of late. Fingers crossed for Friday morning. they were talking it up on the radio as I drove in to work.

      ant, if they are there, they must be having a great time :-o The only time they've been back was when I was on hols!

      David, I think you may be onto something! I got 30 mins of poor seeing this morning and the forecast was right, I was wrong! Pleiades M45, good luck for some of that lovely sunshine!

    Have packed most of the solar gear away, rain has suspended play. I wouldn't bother with such small, fast-moving gaps but the seeing looks decent, the gaps are a beautiful blue and the big AR was smoking away. ! Hope some others are sneaking a view or shot in.

      Thanks Shaun, I have bagged me the moon, I couldn't resist with the goto out already, I don't feel quite up to observing tonight. I think it is because I am mentally keeping my powder dry for Sol before work in the morning, if my luck is in! :-o

      It's stunning, Shaun! :-o Really lucky to have seen it last four days, rotating onto the disc! Today's high class problem is, should I image the moon too. It looks nice and high today :)

    Wowsers, well I have to see how it stacks and processes, but I have just taken some full disc single tile captures with the Quark and my Tele Vue 60. All the talk of the Quark and its 4.3x Barlow and I am imaging not too far from my SolarMax 60 at prime focus! I need to see what the results are like, but I am so surprised to be seeing a full disc in the capture software! :-o

    Aargh, windows update decided to happen just as I was setting my scope up, took 45 minutes. Then firecapture didn't want to work and now clouds. :(
