Well done, David, great score! My fingers are crossed for this morning, Sol looks beautiful in white light on SDO.

I think that would definitely stabilize my warn up issue, Gerry! Personally I am not keen on front ERF as I am so clumsy! I am sure I would break it at one point, that's what also put me off a front etalon (as well as cost). I think Jarrod broke a front ERF. I am sure he is less clumsy than me! Nearly dropped my Herschel wedge, PowerMate and Grasshopper camera once.

Have ordered the 35nm! It may or may not help with a slight issue I have, which is that my 120mm sometimes seems to need a little time for the view to stabilize. It feels like heat currents are in play. This especially happens in winter. It might not solve that issue, but I need another internal ERF anyway and I fancy a bit of lunar imaging with it as well, I found the 7nm interesting for lunar but a bit dark.

Congrats! Best thing I can say about the Moonlite is I don't even notice it is there. I focus without thinking about it, it's just me and the stars :)

I could do with another UV/IR cut so I am thinking about going for the Baader 35nm instead as per the discussion in that thread. I sold a 7nm a while ago, but sounds like the 35 is actually the one to go for anyway for the purpose talked about the thread!

:) My Quark and ED100 already give great views, anything extra must be awesome! Some interesting mention of improving contrast here but be sure to read about safety advice re internal ERF:

Double congrats then :) :) I am just too lazy to use a barlow though I find it handy on hols with reduced EP selection, maybe I should look at a zoom though?

Nice one, Shaun. I do prefer to avoid barlow in general if poss, does that mean no fancy pants barlow for now?

It was stunning, David, so orange, I said to the Mrs to come and have a look. Took a few DSLR snaps but I have no clue what most of the settings do on the camera!

It's a real buzz when the contrast kicks in :) Am expecting total cloud cover here for the weekend, no doubt because my Quark now has a Baader clicklock that I want to play with! Good luck everyone.

Thanks, Rob, images should be fine, I took some new ones to replace the blurry ones! It meant I had to play dodge the clouds for a bit, but lucky escape :) No time for such schoolboy errors during the week!

Happy Saturday, Rob! After thinking the seeing was a bit rubbish here for 30 minutes of imaging, i realised my focus was off! :-o Wow Saturn good at 300x must have been a real treat. If it gets any hotter here, I am taking my jumper off :D
