  2. might have to have my 1st go at andromeda tonight, only garden practice imaging with a full moon, but all practice for the dark site, when it starts getting dark again :D

      Maybe. I will have ago at widefield photography first by bolting a camera to the top of the scope.

      well thats me polar aligned and star aligned, just need to wait for Andromeda to come round now to start guiding

  3. might try and view/image the GRS for the 1st time tonight. just need to find out what time it will be showing :)

      i have indeed sir, i was looking at the GRS just a minute ago now, back inside in the warm while its collecting photon's now :)

  4. my heart is pounding!!! im buzzing lol, just managed to get my 1st single sub of a whirlpool galaxy!!! (M51) :D trying to get as many subs as i can then i will stack them tomorrow and see what i have got, im soo happy

      No, I moved jobs and one of them paid me wrong, so they didn't pay any tax on my earnings for a month (£200)... idiots! Then government screwed up on tax credits, then wanted them back - of course, months later after you have spent it, after being told you wouldn't owe them anything... (£820).

      I forfeited this year's right to credits for the debt to be wiped out. So not so bad. But I am still, technically, losing due to their incompetence.

      lol, i was looking at the ISS last night, just wondering what the 6 astronauts were doing at that precise time....probably getting ready for the shuttle connection :)

  13. not been up this late for a while!! stellarium are showing these planets are visible right now!!... neptune, pallas, uranus, pluto, venus and jupiter! vesta and ceres, would i be able to see these tho?

      also im going to stay in london tomorrow on a boat, will there be much point taking scope? as im guessing i wont be able to align on a moving boat? it will be parked up bit still moving with the waves and stuff?

      bins willbe better for boating. as for torch. just buy ordinarry torch and cover with red nail varnish or red sweet wrappers.

      i know i cant wait to see what all the hype is about :) ive only ever used my SW130p stock finder scope so im hoping for a nice change :)

  16. Off on holiday tomorrow! taking complete Telescope setup! lool the wife love it.....not lool :D hopefully will improve my images with dark site! and hopefully be able to show off some ISS images next weekend when i get back :D

      Same here. Had to attend a work dinner while outside the skies were totally clear and steady. I came back home (after a few drinks) and a fat rainfall began.

      loool no was not me hobsey. i was at asda's....very orderly, no pushing, 15 people in at a time, it was bliss, i picked up my 40" LED full HD tv for £139 so im happy :)

      all went well...framed and focussed m81/m82, guiding ok... its now snapping away now and im back in doors having a nice cold beer, going to do about 2 hours hopefully on this DSO, well hopefully if it does not past by my house roof in that time.....its going to be close :( its all practice for when i get to my dark spot next weekend tho :)
