    A stonker of a clear night at Kielder (all the better for having not been predicted).     Hmm. So my car won't power a hairdryer if the engine is off, and the sidelights can't be turned off. Hmm.

      I use a 12V 7ah battery and can connect the 12V hairdryer via an adapter (cigarette socket for hairdryer and clips for battery).

    Got my negative head on, finding it hard to stay strong with this continual cloud and or mist, i honestly have only used a scope about 5 or 6 nights this year, and people wonder why i want to reduce to just one scope

      Paypal is useful in that you have varied accounts registered so providing options to pay by debit or credit. Otherwise I personally usually have had no problem with bank transfers when buying on AB&S.. Agree that original pictures would have been helpful.

    4:30am! I've got work in the morning but just couldn't resist Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Moon! Great night and nothing strong coffee cannot fix :-)

      Good stuff, occasionally going sleep deprived to that extent has to be done. Just once in a while is fine, yet personally it would take me days (and nights) to recover from that episode.

    trying to decide since i have only observed 3 times in 3 months if i shouls sell my 16" lightbridge and start buying things for my 22" scope like feathertouch with sips and an 80mm finder.two minds as if the weather ends up good i could be without a scope until summer

      Another suggestion might be to take out a credit card that offers an interest free shopping term, pay it off in full when you sell your lightbridge and have your new scope ready to use at the same time.
