  3. Cheers Peter, Billy. will use the 9x50 then, that leaves the 80mm for imaging Will be mounted on the EQ6 Will also be using an old 6" orion newt, and an old 125mm f8 frac
  4. Will be dipping my toe into astrophotography If I covert the finder, how well will it guide, or would it better to use my newly acquired 80mm F5 scope as a guider

  8. Brillant thread, thank you all Will be ordering mine soon, wasnt too sure if I wanted to take this route, but will now Now I just need to be able to connect to my camera, and control from my laptop

  10. Im curious, as I have a range of nikon lenses, from 35mm too 300mm would one on these adapters be usefull (see pic)
  11. Celestron Ultima DX 9*63 excellent in low light & useable handheld
  12. Ota's and tripod in a dry garage, stays cool in the summer, mount head EQ6 & every thing else is in draws, in the living area or bedroom

  14. Thank you. So can I assume, they are not really needed when using a DLSR, or am I missing something?
  15. Ok before I dive in, help out a newbie. I get lights, flats & dark frames, but what are bias frames
  16. Cheers, not too bothered about cooling, have plans for that, yes these are just 12 bit, but anything above that will be beyond my pocket. FOV I have checked for 2 scopes I have for use. Will be also be using my niikon d5500. not sure on lenses yet, but have eyes on a 85mm f2.8 & 135mm 2.8 just doing some homework before diving in
