I am seriously thinking of selling my 5" refractor and buying a biggish dob 10-12" dob, I regret selling my 8" reflector to this day. -

2" Diagonals clear aperture measurement reference

Right I've just measured the wall thickness on the telescope side of both my diagonals one a Altair and the I think is the skywatcher one. As you can see from the pictures I'm losing 9mm in the Altair and 7.8mm in the skywatcher.

Superb Nick looks fantastic, I was talking to a couple of very informed people last night and from what I said I could see from here they think instead or bortle 6 skies I have bortle 8 no wonder I cannot see M51 and the Leo Trio wish I was there to see such beauty. I know this for a fact I thought my EQ5 goto had something wrong with it not hitting targets being miles off with a 10amp 12v brick I tried my 7amp and hit every target I have now sent for a regulated power supply.

My 15mm BST is my goto eyepiece absolutely brilliant when going to higher mag I have got a old 10mm vixen silver top which is crystal clear amazing eyepiece and when barlowed in my Tal x2 it does not lose anything.
