can I just put a spanner in the works a nice 4" refractor planets look like balls and can take more magnification if conditions allow. https://www.harrisontelescopes.co.uk/acatalog/skywatcher-evostar-120mm-refractor-optical-tube-assembly.html- 25 replies

I regret selling my 200p best scope I have had besides the refractors, I have had some of my best nights with it but sold it.😪 -

I mistakenly bought a polarising filter instead of the continuum filter I did not read the listing properly as it was cheap. Luckily the seller cancelled the order and refunded me.
-
I've just sent for one #3 continuim filter. I messed up went on bay thought I was buying a continuim filter it wasn't it was a polarising filter again just asked to cancel it. Thought it was cheap.
-
Sorry Stu it's not a continuim filter it's a polarising filter when I bought it I could of sworn it was a continuim filter. Just checked now and it's a Astro Essentials polarising filter had the thing 3 years all this time I have been mistaken. Paul

Had a chance take the dob out for a couple of hours well an hour cooling down the collimation is bob on the moons craters looked better than I have ever seen them, Saturn and two moons and Jupiter lovely 4 moons and 3 bands 4 with averted. Now do I sell or keep.
-
Well first clear night and after loosening everything and re-collimating first look the moon at 17.30 scope had been out 45 minutes. What can I say fantastic the craters looked fabulous swing over to Saturn obviously rings not in the best angle but clear as a bell planet and rings 2 moons as well. Jupiter was high enough now and what a sight 3 bands 4 with averted and 4 spot moons finally everything is bang on.

Did anyone notice during covid we had some great clear transparent nights but when planes started criss crossing back and forth the skies went back to the usual one good night in a blue moon.

I'm looking to buy one after Christmas as I sold my Berghaus 6 air earlier this year but I kept all the heavy duty tent pegs I had for that. -
