  1. I’m sure that most seasoned observers will know this, however for those that are new like myself… I have a AE 9x50 finder on my SW 72 ED. Right from the start I have struggled with aligning the finder with the scope, running out of adjustment. i have discovered that the mounting shoe on the scope is very slightly out of alignment, maybe a mm or so, but magnified by the length of the finder. I have adjusted as carefully as I can, and now am able to adjust the finder much more easily. hope this helps anyone with a similar issue. Nick
  2. Just a quick note for those who are thinking of using the Star Adventurer counterweight bar for the AZ GTi. Make sure when buying the M8 to M12 thread adapter you get the correct thread. I originally ordered one off of eBay, which was this was shipped from abroad, and although the m8 thread fitted the bar ok, the m12 thread was too tight (if that is the correct term). I ended up causing a small amount of burring to the thread inside the mount. I ordered a second set of adapters off Amazon, where there were wider gaps on the m12 thread and this fits a treat. Just goes to show that cheap is definitely not better.
