  1. Thanks guys. Sped up yes. One frame every minute (65 frames in total), played back at 10 fps.
  2. More clouds than clear sky, but I managed to capture a quick one. I would have loved to make a timelapse of this! The wife has nicknamed the 2nd one from the left as "the kitty cat" 🐈
  3. Stunning! I have it on my list as well, was going to try it with my Samyang 135. But as you discovered, I am worried about losing it to the stars
  4. Yeah I saw that. Looks very interesting! Build looks good!
  5. I forgot I had imaged this when I was messing around with my mod scope. Not a long one, just over 42 minutes. But man is it active! A nice "vulcano" and some plasma rain. Just a quick sharpen in ImPPG, nothing else. Lunt LS50/102ED mod, asi178
  6. Ha, it was a learning curve for sure! Being able to sit inside and control everything, sure makes things a lot easier though!
  7. Thanks all. Yes Vin, your little Lunt is working great! πŸ‘
  8. Thank you! The power of animation indeed. I noticed a darker patch in that area at one point, but thought nothing of it at the time. To be fair, this catch was pure luck! I was messing around with my mod scope at the time, but the adapter needed some more work. So I reattached it to the 50, and set it to capture in the background. Exposure was 4ms, gain was around 20 at the time (haze came and went). I did one 500 frame run every minute. First frame: 12:55:13, last frame: 14:31:20 (11.55-13.31 [UTC] ) I posted it at SC today. I had to make a GIF that had an acceptable size first. I hate GIFs! But since the video is broken in here, I will post it anyway
  9. I see these eruptions on GONG all the time, but I've never been lucky enough to catch it myself - until now! Some serious power on display! Lunt 50, ZWO ASI178 Right! If you can view the video, then yay! If not, here is the youtube link: https://youtu.be/hOwVDwBlJss Eruption-1.mp4
  10. Some love it, others hate it. I used to use FC, but I now prefer the much cleaner look of SC. Both work great though!
  11. Really nice! When I see these, I always wonder if I should switch over to colour!
  12. Welcome! Shifting weather here again tonight, so I will set up again. This time with my 4mm lens. Already seen a couple of faint ones
  13. Very slow this year, but at least it was clear-ish! I captured around 4 hours before the clouds rolled in for good. Some good ones in there, including a nice fireball at 1:36 (upper right corner). I used the included 2.5mm all-sky lens, but the quality was not great. I should have used my 3.2mm one instead. ZWO ASI178MM, 2.5mm lens, SharpCap Youtube (How do I embed a youtube video in here?)
  14. Is Dark Optimization checked? If it is, turn it off. It can also cause weird things like this.
