  1. Great capture Stuart. for a quick process you've done a brilliant job with loads of subtle detail on offer.
  2. Great shot Simon, Some lovely detail on show especially around the GRS region.
  3. They are excellent Saturn Images. I like the lift in brightness you have given them. They look very clean and detailed.
  4. They are very good results Simon from a very frustrating night. What was really annoying though was the fact that the seeing was really good until them clouds rolled in and it never recovered. Still you have captured some lovely detail on the Jupiter captures and a nice saturn too.
  5. Kostas as Simon as said they are descent images despite the conditions. Mark and when you've done all that guess what? Yep the clouds go away again.
  6. What a brilliant capture that is Kostas. That is certainly going on my to do list now I have seen your excellent result Very well done.
  7. They are a lovely set of images Geoff. It is looking good for opposition.
  8. That looks a very clean capture of Saturn Kostas. I can clearly see the banding on the globe. I have wondered about upgrading my ir685 filter as it dont really add anything more above my red filter. I have assumed it was down to my already camera's sensativity in IR. I've heard it said the ir685 is best for 10inch aperture and below and the ir742 is for 10inch and above. Plenty to think about.
  9. Thats a top notch image of Jupiter from august 10th Stuart. It's beautifully processed with lots of detail showing, You've also managed to keep that lovely natural look too Great stuff. As you mentioned in a earlier post with over 2 months until opposition things really are looking good. I also use FC so thanks for the tip.
  10. Jupiter captured at 0215UT on the 12.8.23 3x2 minute stack winjupos. Saturn captured & 0050UT single stack. The seeing was average but transparacy was poor to average. The clouds rolled in to end session at 0245UT. C11 asi 290mm Baader RGB filters used for Saturn image. Asi 642mc used Jupiter image.
  11. I would definitley say the image taken at 4.14ut is the one for me Stuart. It is smooth but still retains loads of sharp details.
  12. Thats a very nice capture Peter. I am just wondering though, why you did'nt use a x2 barlow which would put you in the perfect resolution spot of 0.15pix.
  13. You have captured some Fantastic detail in this image Kostas. I would say it is the best jupiter you have done so far which I have seen. Interestingly the single stack looks excellent too. Just wondering if you could resize it and do a side by side comparison?
  14. They are superb images Stuart. They have a great colour balance lots of contrast and plenty of detail showing not over sharpened too. A brilliant first outing of the season.
  15. Thought I would post these images of Saturn with IR added in the mix. I know it's not every ones cup of tea. I personally dont think it as brought anything new to the table as the Asi290 is already sensitive in IR.
  16. Hi Kon these were single combined captures, the best 2000frames of 8000 per channel with lots of smoothing sharpening and layers in Cs6. Stuart that is a lovely comment. Thank you,
  17. Thats a good effort Knobby especially if your main goal was to just get the C9.25 collimated, should be plenty more opportunitiy to get the capture we strive for. As you say it's great just being out there.
  18. They are great captures Simon. It was a strange night as the conditions were very trying , But amazingly there were moments of good seeing Excellent work.
  19. Thats a lovely early Jupiter Kon. Good colour balance and the red spot as a bonus too.
  20. First time out imaging in what must be a year or so for me. ( It did feel great to be back out there again.) I managed to capture a rgb image of Saturn as there were moments of steady seeing despite it being quite breezy and a lot of condensation in the air. C11. Baader RGB filters . Asi290mm . 1.5x barlow. Processed in Reg6. AA5. Cs6. images resampled 125%
  21. Thats a excellent Jupiter image Neil.
  22. Thats a very impressive full moon image.
  23. Just after capturing my latest Saturn thought I would give Mars another go with my Asi290mm. The focus was just a guess really as mars was bouncing all over the place. C11 Asi290mm Baader RGB filters images resized 160% R6 Cs6 aa5
