  1. I will have a Lunar look when itโ€™s showing a partial phase as the shadows make it interesting. I find observing a full Moon not as interesting.
  2. My Intes Micro 715 came with rivets attaching the dovetail to the OTA which eventually started to work loose ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I took the scope apart and replaced them all with stainless steel nuts, washers and bolts - painted black on the inside. They were still solid six years later when I sold it ๐Ÿ‘
  3. @Mandy D I now have Winjupos running on my Linux based lappy - thank you ๐Ÿ‘
  4. Brilliant, thank you Mandy, I just read about that, now I need to figure out how to do it ๐Ÿ‘
  5. I have just put Linux onto an old low spec laptop and it runs really well. Now I would like to use it for predicting when is a good time to accurately see interesting events or features on the planets - I use Winjupos on my windows machines for this. Does anyone know of Linux software that can do this ?
  6. Perhaps a small nut and bolt on both ends of the dovetail ?
  7. You must have used very high power to see those clouds on Mars ๐Ÿคฃ
  8. Telescope Service is a German company but they do ship overseas.
  9. @Sunshine These scopes are getting very good reviewsโ€ฆ.. and itโ€™s a doublet https://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p10133_TS-Optics-Doublet-SD-APO-125-mm-f-7-8---FPL-53---Lanthanum-objective.html
  10. @Sunshine If I did not have the FS128 then the TSA120 Would be a no brainer ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. Did someone say FS128 ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
  12. I also have a close IPD and wear glasses so here is my setupโ€ฆ. Baader MK V binoviewer 1.26 and 2.6 glass path correctors Baader Zeiss prism. Plus pairs ofโ€ฆ. Celestron 26mm Silvertop Plossls (circa 1985) Tal 25mm Plossls Televue 20mm plossls Fujiyama 18mm Orthoscopics Vixen LV 15mm Pentax XF 12mm SVBONY 10mm ultra flats The 26mmโ€™s gave me a memorable view of M31 last year through a Mewlon 180, the contrast and sharpness was superb. I mostly observe planets between x175 for Jupiter and x220 for Mars. The Moon at x80 is razor sharp.
  13. I see a cat ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿป
  14. Excellent images, I was out a little earlier than you last night but seeing was not good โ˜น๏ธ
  15. Yes, @JeremyS is the worst one ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
  16. You were very lucky @Nakedgun ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Nice scope ๐Ÿ™‚ I use a standard Vixen GP with two locking bolts and always triple check that the scope dovetail is located correctly and both bolts are tight. So far so goodโ€ฆโ€ฆ PS - Now you should go do the lottery ๐Ÿคฃ
  17. Great map, well done ๐Ÿ‘
  18. Great sketches, Mars is quite a bit smaller than last visit and I am struggling to see any real detail beyond what you have drawn at the top of your page this time around.
  19. Gary, Which zooms are you using in the Mewlon ?
  20. Great advice, I am looking forward to see which specific binoculars get suggestedโ€ฆโ€ฆ
