davefrance
Tried two ways of imaging the moon the other night just to see if there was a difference in quality and whether the extra processing time is worth it. The moon was pretty low by the time these were taken so were subject to some atmospherics.See what you thinkFirstly 30 still frames of which 11 stacked. I have cropped slightly to be the same as the video stitch but the image has uploaded at a slightly smaller size.Secondly 3 x 2 minute videos of top, middle and bottom of moon taken in Digital Cropped Mode @ X3. 25% of frames stacked and stitched together. All comments welcomed. Astro Imp
Nice work, the second looks the more detailed image but this might be a result of the slightly larger scale.

kalasinman
Enlarging to same size, to my eye, the stills are slightly sharper and have a bit more contrast.
laudropb
Nice detail, but I think the first image is sharper. This might just be a scale difference.
