Taken at Kelling, I tried to get the outer skirt, not a lot of colour so more data seems in order.

Ha 2 x 30mins & 2 x 20 mins
RGB 2 x 15mins binned x 2 

Skywatcher ED120, Atik314L and HEQ5

The outer halo is showing very well, really nice. I know how difficult it was for me to get that outer halo when I tried from my back garden .

Remarkable outer shell in the time. Very impressive indeed. It's showing mainly in the green channel but Ha is red. How did you combine them? The shell is also there in OIII if you get the chance. This is good!

Hi Olly, I think I used your method of adding ha to the red channel.  

If I took Oiii where would I combine it into the mix?

Having said that I think I might have done something wrong in the processing as the Ha should show up more in the red channel, so I had another go at it.  Hope I haven't made things worse:

Followed Olly's advice and got some Oiii at the weekend.  Since I live in a LP location I have to wait until i go to dark skies and keep my fingers crossed that there will also be clear skies in order to do things like this, only a small window though.  Not yet happy with some of the stars - still working on it.

That O-III really brings out extra detail in the outer envelope. Very nice image

Better Carole, perhaps do a star reduction in the blue channel to reduce the halos on the stars... HTH..

Thanks Michael and Guy.  It's more the stars that are sitting on the halo I am not so happy about, I already did a star reduction in the green.  I'll try the blue as well and probably a re-process in general.
