I'm still on the Bino stage due to financial constraints but I would recommend having a lokk at this Post in the Bino viewing Forum. Lot's of really great links with lists of objects to find each month.

Turn Left AT Orion is a great book, but tit's not an atlas - it's aimed at giving you easy to find and interesting objects to see - highly recommended

Ok. I've ordered TLAO and 'Sky and Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas.

Scope arrived tonight. Unfortunately so did the clouds! Just desperate to get out there - Keep peering out of the window every half an hour to see if the clouds have cleared.
