Nebulae List?

I'm aware of the various catalogs like the Messier or the NGC, or Caldwell, but is there one exclusively just nebulae?

That's a nice list but it makes me resentful of living in the Northern hemisphere. We get just 40 of them!

I'd forgotten about this list. I have also book marked it. Should be a challange and a half to tick them off with my 5" scope but i'll do my best. Could be a life long project given the weather conditions.

Thanks for all the links, attached link to Highlands Astro Soc. whilst this is a series of Messier objects its a nice way to record and fnd them.

This is what Ive been using for a while, it contains basically every bright nebula, galaxy and cluster down to mag 14. It even states what sized telescope should be used in order to detect it.

Contains: VdB/SH/PK/IC/NGC/M/Abell/King/Stock/Cz/Simeiz and other "unusual" designations.

You might need to cross reference with a online database though to find some of them with a goto system.

But as to how observable they are, I'd say a fair few of them will be for CCD only - especially some of the supernova remnants (eg: CTB1). Not unless you've got a big telescope in a very dark place
