Hi, just a couple of starting shots for the Skyshed POD in a new album - Midmans Observatory Progress. The first is the basic platform about 10' square and the hole in the middle is for the pier plynth, also in album. The pipe-work is for cabling to and from the pier position. The white edging in the pier plynth shot is polystyrene to be disolved with liquid gold (petrol or gas - depending where you are in the world) to create a physial isolation of the pier from the pad. Hope it all works...

Hi Midman, just realised you are going to get second helpings of welcome, as you have posted your Skyshed POD back into the welcome section ( it will be just like Christmas, double helpings ), I think perhaps you should have entered this into the DIY section, well done on you progress anyway, and have a Happy Christmas. Mods to note?.
