Horsehead 27.11.10

Went out on Saturday evening (image overlapped into early hours so also partly 28.11.10). Minus 4 degrees but it was clear and this doesn't happen too often. Unfortunately it deteriorated into hazy so after the first 4 subs the stars were rather bloated.

Anyway, here it is. My first Horse Head Nebula.

Just over 2 hours of 5min subs, + darks, flats and bias

Modified Canon EOS 450D with clip CLS filter.

WO Megrez, guided with PHD, processed in DSS and PS

Very nice horsehead and flame nebula. Well worth the exposure to the cold.

I've got an Observatoy (POD) and wrapped up well it wasn't too bad amazingly.
