starGAZer 12 moon

Had a look at the moon before putting the starGAZer 12 to bed.

Absolutely gobbsmacking views with a 15mm and 2* barlow :shock: 8)

Will spend more time when I'm fully fit..

Took a quick shot with the Nikon 5400 afocal with 40mm eyepiece

and I'm very pleased with the result

Great stuff Phil, whats the focal length of the 12" again? Seems a large image scale for a 40mm, is it cropped?

Martin, yes I'm grinning, couldn't be more pleased, huge amount of detail

to see through the eyepiece 8)

Just got to make my adjustable chair now and I can see me moon gazing for hours..

It's a 300mm F5.3.

The image isn't a crop, I forgot to mention that I zoomed the camera in to get the moon

in two halves for an Imerge stitch later on
