9th October - Europa transit and Io occultation

Here's a quick sequence of images from this evening during an unexpected break in the clouds, but with poor seeing, showing the simultaneous transit of Europa and occultation of Io. SPC880 webcam and SW250P DS Newtonian. It was lovely to watch. Hope you like it.

how do you get the moons so clear?

No idea really! Just made sure focus and exposure were good.

Can I ask what software you use for capture and processin?

I use QCFocus for capture (not a lot of people seem to use this, but it works for me.) Processing was done in Registax. All free programs.

The two on the limb was a bit unexpected. I had no idea that they would be touching the limb at the same time, one going one way, and one going the other.
