Detail on moons is doable with amateur scopes. Damian/Bruce et al regularly do this for Io etc... but the scale on this image is impressive...anyone know the camera spec?

Spotted Jupiter through my C8 but turbulence was so bad I gave imaging a miss. Would be nice to have the setup above in the back yard:D

Their Mars was on TIS blog, and they wrote abot GigE DMK.

wow...that's amazing, but I guess why not. If they need a good high frame rate camera, that just works, why the heck not use a DMK..

Aperture, seeing and skillset is the issue...aperture is probably only 1/3rd of it in the UK...collimation, seeing and understanding the camera/scope and then the skill to capture and process that is the rest
