I happened on this lounge purely by accident, have been involved with astronomy for a long time now. I am limited on observing from Sherwood, here on the outskirts of Nottingham , hence use my Opticron HR-66 for astronomy and terrestrial viewing. I've not deemed it worth setting anything up substantial here, as I've been with Sherwood Observatory out near Sutton-in-Ashfield, since their foundation. Their 61-cm reflector makes light work of imaging the Moon and planets, though we're only just beginning to really get to grips with astrophotography.

We're always pleased to pick up on any tips that are available.

Hope we can swap news and views etc.

Welcome to SGL. If it hadn't been for my Kowa spotting scope I don't know if I would have really got into this hobby. (I still have my Slik D3 tripod!)

Your website looks good - I'll have a thorough read as soon as I can.
