Milky Way at Beer

Hi

Yesterday I submitted an image of the ISS while setting up my camera for the MW. This is no a great pic but considering the equipment I used it shows just how it is possible to image if the sky is good without tracking. I only used my Canon 450D on a lightweight tripod, lens set at 19mm ISO 1600, 40 subs at 30 seconds each. Must take my mount next year.

What a lovely image... I was gazing up at the milkyway last month at my dark site... and it was just amazing...

Yes it is modified but with the 450D you do not have to install a Baader filter just remove the existing one. That makes the modification cheaper by half

Whereabouts are you located Robin ?

I tried to get some MW shots and the sky is just too light, not from pollution but cos its the middle of summer.
