hiya everyone,

im Dell and im a total newbie to stargazing, i say newbie in the sense that ive always been facinated by the stars but never taken time to actually learn about the night sky properly.

but, i managed to buy my first telescope a few months ago and loving it.

just need some help getting to know the sky and what beautiful sights are up there that you cant see with the naked eye .

I was born in brighton, raised in barnsley but now settled just south of chesterfield, anyone else in this area? :)

well, from what ive seen this is a superb site, loads of information to read through n plenty of people who's brains i can pick, i hope lol

thanks

Dell

Hi Dell - keep an eye on the EMS threads on Sat afternoon. We usually assess the weather and decide to go (or not) up to an hour before we actually meet. These days it'll be late - up to probably 8pm'ish before a decision is made - cos of the light nights.

You'd be most welcome to join us :)
