hello to all

this is my first post

i have been a avid enthusiast for about 20 years

but due to other commitments i have not done much observing for the last few years. but this years resolution is to really get back into it, have already dusted of the scopes and have had a few fine views of mars , in between this not so astronomy friendly weather.

as you have probably guessed i am in essex, just south of chelmsford.

hope to post some more ,when the weather co'operates

lance

hi, ant

i am in great baddow on the outskirts of chelmsford

most of chelmsfords light pollution is to the north of me

with suprisingly little to the south. the next major light polluter in this direction is basildon a good few miles away

the summer milky way through cygnus is visible on good nights

m31 m44 and the perseus double cluster are visible with the naked eye. m31 does need averted vision. not bad in this day and age:)
