IC410 - Tadpoles - a work in progress...

A clear night!! Despite the full moon I just had to get out and image something so here's IC410 & the Tadpoles in Ha. If I get any more clear nights in the next 6-8 weeks I'll get OIII and SII as well and go for colour.

I wasn't sure what a virtually full moon would do for Ha imaging (using a 7nm Baader Ha filter), now I know - the exposures were five minutes and despite getting at least 20x 5 minutes the noise in the end result was quite considerable. I've done a little noise reduction on the image. It was just nice to get out and image (I even set up my Newt for visual work too ).

As usual, taken through a Megrez 72 using a Starlight Xpress H9 Mono, guided with PHD, captured in Nebulosity and processed in PixInsight.

This is a really nice deep image, James with some lovely detail. I am delighted to see such detail in an image taken against a full Moon backdrop.

Very nice James - thats working well The moon really is a pain, isn't it? I was on the same target for the remainder of last night myself... It does cause alot of noise!
