Dropped it out for a quick look at Jupiter at 5.30pm tonight.. its a great scope to use, collimation took seconds & the crayford is like butter!.

whats the weight disribution like? that focuser looks heftey

The orion is a twist lock 2" to 1.25" adapter - superb

I just recently got the same scope with an EQ3-2 and love it to bits. Going to add a Rigel Quickfinder though because I struggle with the 6x30 finder scope.

A couple of quick questions:

1. What is the weight of the tube assembly?

2. What size is the secondary mirror? (I'm concerned that the extra length of the 2" focuser may lead to inadequate illumination of the edge of the field ... I'd guess it should be at least 2" minor axis, 2.25" would probably be better)

I will check the OTA weight and secondary mirror size tonight. I think the secondary is a bit on the small size. When using a Cheshire for collimation, the primary retaining clips are right at the edge of the field, you can't see the actual edge of the primary at all. Of course I might be doing it wrong...
