Jupiter with my TSA 102

Hello every body,

I have shot yesterday Jupiter but the weather was not nice and cloudy. So, I show you one image but it is not very nice !

I agree thats really quite good, jupiter is not at its best now. You should feel pleased with that, as has been stated it is indeed very tight. Natural too. I like it.

For 4" SCOPE, trust me, it is especially good

You have captured some nice detail with this shot Franck. As Neil said it is very good for a 4" instrument.

I hope you don't mind but I have simply adjusted the levels.

Considering jupiter is fading fast, think its one of the best 4" scope jupiter shots ive seen this year. ( this is a refractor mind )

Look how it copes with a 200% resize, some deconvolution, and sharpening Clayton. I also did noise reduction I resisted too much levels Clayton, i tried it too lol.

( Great minds think alike ) at 200% with the extra sharpening and deconvolution artifacts started to appear, which look ugly. I upped the contrast and brightness somewhat though.

Again Franck hope you dont mind me experimenting, its a nice image to work with. Well done. im surprised you thought it wast that good

Yes you are alright to try some other processing with my images. Don't be worry, I don't mind anything about it. It is just my surprise because you find my image nice but I can show you some other image 300% much better that this one !

You understand now why I said it is not very nice now to shot Jupiter because I meet muc beter before in August !

So, now we could try to get nice Saturn who will get the ring openning slowly.

I'm always surprised to see the details on the planet, the moon or in the deep sky.

Hello Ed,

Sorry but I didn't see that you send me message ! I use the DMK 21 with the Powermate x4 ! The deep field is enough big for the planetary shot with the refractor.
