I left the camera on the scope all afternoon clicking away at intervals..

It captured this at 1620..Enhanced the image area. It wasn't on the previous group of images only the ones from about 1615..

Whopping great dust bunny..

It may not have shown up because it was in the dark background area, maybe the image has shifted slightly so the bunny is now contrasting with the light area of what is I presume the sun.

Thats a bit strange, have you checked SOHO?

Usually a dust bunny would be out of focus, that mark is quite distinct.

Satellite? It's similar to that photo of the Hubble/Space Shuttle transiting the sun....

I haven't got a clue Greg.

I've checked CduC to see if there are any planet transits and there isn't. You have checked satellites so whats left.

A very distant aeroplane or a flock of birds.
