You captured incredible detail in the major spot active region for a full disk! Light bridges everywhere!

No need for close-ups when a few clicks expand the image in all its glory!

Fantastic! Just managed a very quick peek through cloud today, it’s huge! Not looking promising tomorrow unfortunately. Nice to see it in your image though 👍

Not sure historically , I'll have to have a Google.

The biggest I've had the pleasure of witnessing was back in October of 2014 ... 😲

Been talking size and records over here

My big unaided eye one was back in 1956 at 2400 and was spoken of as a record breaker then. SpaceWeatherLive is calling this latest one at 1600 60% of the Carrington one.
