I though I'd play with just the 1 minute subs to resolve the core better

this is 19 x 1 minute subs 10 darks and 10 flats applied the shorter subs don't burn out the core and in fact it would probably be an idea to stick to 1 minute subs and go for more exposures even at ISO 400 considering how bright this object is but as the other image was my first try at this globular and only my third globular cluster ever imaged, well !!!

I agree, your opinion is spot on mate.

Thats a fantastic image. I find with M13 that it's best to keep the exposures low or you burn out the centre. OMG CNT is much brighter than M13.
