Imaging with Zwo 290mm mini astroberry oacapture Firecapture crashing freezing

Anyone used a zwo 290mm mini with astroberry for imaging with either oacapture or Firecapture?

I've found either software crashes within 5-10 seconds (image freezes on screen) so you can't adjust the camera for focus or anything, restarting the software doesn't change anything. Auto Usb traffic control enabled and disabled in oacapture also doesn't change anything. Never had an issue with my 224mc other than the odd crash.

Is there an inherent issue with the usb2 nature of the camera and how it communicates with the rpi?

I don't have personal experence but I've read there's an issue with ZWO USB2 cameras and Linux (FLO don't recommend them for use with Linux on their website).  USB3 seems to be fine.  There's apparently a firmware update available which people claim have fixed their issues.  Might be worth a go if google can find it for you.  See https://indilib.org/forum/ccds-dslrs/4596-temperamental-zwo-asi120mm-usb2.html
