Good For Stargazing - Weather App

Giving this IOS weather app a try. Simple layout and you just click on the relevant areas for more info.

Says not good tonight which seems accurate judging by the cloud cover. 😕

Will have to see how accurate it is. 🤔

be interesting I might grab that, I used scopenights but it is a little brokenish since ios updated and no response from maintainer sadly, it is still reasonably accurate though.

As  mentioned on another  thread, I'll be adding this forecast  to my cloud  accuracy reports from January 1st.

Don’t think I would get the paid for version at that price but the free version looks usefull. 🤔

For me here in Finland it is unfortunately wrong. Says not good to stargaze and 60% cloudy, when i cannot see a single cloud anywhere 🙄. Clear outside is less wrong at 40% cloudy interestingly.

Still thanks for the heads up, added this to my pool of weather data to check.

I’ll keep loading them in the vain hope that I find one with a more optimistic outlook. For some reason a better forecast, even if it’s inaccurate, makes me feel better.😊

I've used this for about a year, and find it to be pessimistic regarding cloud cover. However I still use it alongside met office,  CO and ventusky

I like the user interface on this app. It's straightforward and seems to allow me extensive configuration of the conditions needed for observing. I will see how it compares with reality, although a window is the only reliable indicator!

lol.... John , changing the app doesn't change the abysmal (for astronomy ) weather .
