best 32mm ep for £40 ish

Hi, looking to buy a new ep around £40 ish, what the best 32mm 1.25 around that price. thanks Luke

I can highly recommend the Meade 4000 series 32mm, I have one and I love it, plus if you look around the net, they're on sale somewhere for around the £30 mark.

I have the TAL 32mm and it's pretty good especially for the price.

The rigel widefield 32mm is excellent - it is £48 though.

The TAL EPs are pretty fantastic. I've used the 32 and own a 40 and a 25. All utterly brilliant.

The Meade 4000 series are good too. So are the Rigel and Vixen! Too many choices!

This post doesn't help much does it? Basically, if you get any of the above, you wont be disappointed.

I've seen TeleVue 32mm Plossls for £40 used before now, and I think it's certainly a step up from the Meade equivalent. If you're not in a hurry it might be worth watching the used adverts or placing a 'wanted'.

The celestron 32 plossl is a decent workhorse ep for less than that. I don't know what they go for in Britain. I keep mine as a spare for dewy nights; it performs well in both my f/6 and f/9.5 scopes. 52º AFOV. The same can be said about most of the brand-name plossls.

You can pick the Celestron 32mm for just over a tenner on Ebay, its a cracking EP for for money and will take some beating under £40.
