Like an overly excited schoolboy I watched the rover with my name (and 10,999,999 others) on spring off the earth and it's still on the tele in the background...

Yes, the 'Ingenuity' drone sized helicopter. The technologies on this rover are astounding. France, Spain and Norway provided instruments, while the British Natural History Museum donated a slice of Martian meteorite to aid calibration of the SHERLOC laser. The first time we have taken a fragment of a planet back to its origin. It's not quite all about the USA! 😉

Fingers crossed the rover lands safely, then we can look forward to the 2026 sample return mission.
