Power Supply for Meade ETX 70

So I have an ETX 70 but I would much rather not use batteries, would prefer just connecting straight to the wall. Was wondering how I would go about that, there doesn't seem to be anything now-a-days because of its age. Thanks for any help :)

A friend of mine has one of these and they had to make a small converter to go from a now normal circular power plug to the PP3 that the ETX uses.

From what they have said it is easy but a little bit of a catch in the way the wiring goes. Think they bought the 2 bits reuired from Maplin, who no longer exist. So a bit of a problem I expect.

Also they work well on 12v, they use a lithium 12v battery rested on the base under the tube.

I will ask them the details.

Where in Southern England are you?

I also have the same issue here, so I have an ETX 70 but I would much rather not use batteries, I prefer to connect to an external source, such as a 12Volts powerbank. Therefore, I ask if you know (to those who have already given this solution), if the ETX 70 allows to receive a voltage of 12Volts instead of 9 Volts?
Thank you for your kindness in an answer/help.
